We are accepting resume's for a E&I Estimator to work at our Lafayette, LA area based office. Candidates must be able to prepare and develop accurate and competitive bids for a variety of Electrical and Instrumentation based projects, both on land and offshore in the Gulf of Mexico. Experience with reviewing customer specifications, establishing required material, estimating man hours, and creating proposals is required.

Requirements/Preferences:

4+ years E&I Estimating and/or Project Management experience in the oil and gas industry is required Prior experience in sales, project management, and/or purchasing is a plus Exceptional organizational and time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently Excellent written, verbal and computer skills along with MS Office suite, including PowerPoint. Ability to work independently and manage internal meetings with other departments.

Main Duties:

Review specifications and drawings from clients, attend pre-bid meetings, determine scope of work, and review bid packages to summarize job requirements Analyze projects while considering specific job conditions that may affect labor and material to be purchased Prepare and issue requests along with a method of measurement to subcontractors, send to procurement department to ensure that quotes are received in a timely manner Communicate with vendors, customers, and clients during the estimating process Request material and equipment quotes from vendors and equipment suppliers Compile various information from bids and quotes into an estimate template. Work with project team, assist in resolving issues involving cost, schedule, and changes with projects Read and interpret drawings and specifications quickly and accurately
