Job Description

Project Estimator Acadian Total Security has an immediate opening for a full-time Project Estimator to join their team in Lafayette, LA.
Job Summary:

  • Utilize applicable sales tools effectively to provide Accurate System Designs and Quotes (WeSuite, Sedona, BlueBeam, Etc).
  • Assist the Sales Team with Products Updates and Compatibility.
  • Provide on time, bid and Proposals at a local branch level to meet Regional/National Accounts survey/Quote request timeframes.
  • Facilitate and attend pre-bid project reviews.
  • Provide all necessary project documentation, including scope of work, drawings, applicable specifications, applications-engineered drawings, project contacts, etc.
  • Design & Submit Fire Projects to the Fire Marshal's Office.
  • Report on daily activities and performance of each project.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Must be PC literate with some familiarity with MS Word and Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of industry applications; ability to read and understand drawings and specifications, electrical, network, and control wiring diagrams.
  • Knowledgeable in local and national (NFPA) fire alarm codes and regulations.
  • Technical experience in the commercial fire and life safety industry preferred.
  • Previous sales experience in the security industry preferred.
