Reliant Industrial Solutions is hiring a full-time Estimator to assist with the day-to-day bidding of potential projects and work with the project managers of awarded projects. The project manager position reports directly to the project executive and is a highly visible position with responsibilities that impact the company. DOE. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Use project solicitation programs to research potential projects.
  • Pick up plans either digitally or in person.
  • Attend job meetings including pre-construction, project, and staff meetings.
  • Read and understand architectural and engineered project drawings.
  • Read and understand project specifications, provisions, customer generated reports, and details.
  • Prepare & distribute Invitations to Bid, Project scope sheets, memos, and other preconstruction documents to trade partners and vendors
  • Prepare and distribute proposals and scope of work clarifications.
  • Prepare & submit RFI's.
  • Solicit pricing from trade partners and vendors.
  • Meet project bid deadlines and due dates.
  • Review and maintain supplier and subcontractor quotes.
  • Perform quantity take-offs.
  • Create and Issue Subcontracts and Purchase Orders
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with owners, agencies, subcontractors, inspectors, potential clients, etc.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience in civil construction
REQUIRED. 5
years of progressive project experience in heavy civil construction environments is
REQUIRED. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
AutoCAD Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Project, AutoCAD, and Adobe Knowledge of construction civil, concrete, structural steel, bridge, and industrial project estimating Must be able to make simple conversions and calculation between different units of measurements and be able to compute rate, ratio, and percentages as needed. Maintain ability to work in high production environment Demonstrated decisions-making skills Excellent leadership skills Excellent supervisory communication and organizational skills Accuracy at all times
