Job Description

Manufacturing Estimator and Buyer responsible for quoting, procurement, and manufacturing planning for precision-machined components in a CNC machine shop environment. Job Requirements Experience in manufacturing estimating and purchasing within a CNC machine shop. Ability to review engineering drawings and determine required machining operations and processes. Strong blueprint reading and specification interpretation skills. Experience preparing job quotations. Experience estimating labor, machining, tooling, material, and outside processing costs. Experience sourcing tooling, raw materials, and outside services. Experience obtaining and evaluating supplier quotations. Knowledge of CNC machining processes. Knowledge of tooling applications. Understanding of manufacturing cost drivers. Experience supporting aerospace or precision-machined component projects. Preferred Skills Experience with aerospace manufacturing requirements. Experience estimating complex precision-machined components. Experience with supplier sourcing and procurement. Experience with outside processing such as heat treatment, plating, coating, or special processes. Experience supporting production planning and routing development. Experience with ERP or manufacturing estimating systems. Job Responsibilities Review customer engineering drawings, specifications, and technical requirements. Determine required machining operations and manufacturing processes. Prepare job quotations for precision-machined components. Estimate labor hours, machine time, tooling, material, and outside service costs. Identify required tooling, fixtures, raw materials, and external processing. Source tooling, raw materials, and outside manufacturing services. Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations. Develop manufacturing cost estimates to support customer pricing. Support manufacturing planning and production routing activities. Evaluate machining requirements and process feasibility before production release. Coordinate purchasing requirements for quoted and awarded work. Maintain estimating, sourcing, and purchasing documentation.
Pay:
