Job Description

Our client, a leading U.S. based aerospace manufacturing company in Billerica are currently hiring for a Senior Cost Estimator to join their team. The company specialises in high-precision, tight-tolerance aerospace products and are known for producing advanced quality aerospace products, having strong quality standards, and continued investment in modern manufacturing technologies. Key Responsibilities for the Senior Cost Estimator Calculate production costs using labor rates, material costs, and processing estimates. Serve as a strategic bridge between estimating, supply chain, engineering, and manufacturing to ensure accurate cost models and efficient production execution. Coordinate the procurement of raw materials and outside processing services through the integrated supply chain and approved vendor network. Perform all tasks and activities required to seamlessly support the estimating and production coordination functions. Skills & Experience for the Senior Cost Estimator Minimum of 5 years of experience in precision machining or manufacturing engineering. Cost estimating experience in aerospace, defence, or oil & gas industries preferred. Familiarity with tooling selection and machining processes for a variety of manufacturing applications. Proficiency with ERP systems and manufacturing data management tools. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) including Magnetic Particle, Pressure Testing, and Dye Penetrant. Hands-on experience with machine tools; CNC Lathe experience preferred. Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles. Excellent interpersonal, written, organizational, and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to multitask effectively under tight deadlines.
