Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Estimator with a focus on electrical systems to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will assist senior estimators in preparing accurate project bids by reviewing construction drawings, analyzing electrical blueprints, and estimating material and labor costs. Your expertise will contribute to the successful planning and budgeting of electrical construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications. Duties Assist in reviewing electrical construction drawings, schematics, and blueprints to determine project scope and requirements Support the preparation of detailed cost estimates for electrical systems, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor quotes Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and other industry-standard tools to compile accurate bids Conduct material cost estimating and pricing analysis to ensure competitive yet profitable proposals Collaborate with project managers, clients, and suppliers through effective negotiation to secure favorable terms and pricing Ensure all estimates adhere to NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70 compliance standards, and local electrical building codes Assist in managing project budgets by monitoring costs, tracking changes, and supporting cost control initiatives Review construction drawings for electrical systems and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics accurately Support project management activities by preparing bid proposals, contracts, and scope of work documents Maintain organized records of all estimating documents, correspondence, and revisions for audit purposes Qualifications Proven experience in electrical estimating within the construction industry or related field Knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, schematics reading, and interpretation Familiarity with estimating software such as Dropbox, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), Google Drive, Bluebeam for digital plan review Understanding of NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70 standards, and local electrical building codes Experience with construction drawing review and electrical blueprint reading Ability to perform cost management, material cost estimating, and pricing strategies effectively Excellent negotiation skills with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors Construction site experience or hands-on electrical work background is highly desirable Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in cost control and project budgeting Effective communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration Knowledge of construction management principles and contract administration is a plus Join us to be part of a forward-thinking team that values innovation, precision, and professional growth. Pay:

$45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
