About the Role This is a hands-on estimating and preconstruction position for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, resourceful, tech-savvy, and comfortable taking initiative. The successful candidate will manage multiple estimating opportunities, research project requirements, identify missing information and scope gaps, perform takeoffs, obtain vendor pricing, track material and inventory needs, and maintain accurate project and estimating information. This position requires someone who can work independently, take ownership of their responsibilities, and follow through while also contributing effectively as part of a collaborative project and operations team. Key Responsibilities Review plans, specifications, contracts, bid documents, and customer requests to understand project scope and requirements Perform accurate quantity takeoffs using Bluebeam or comparable digital takeoff software Research project requirements, materials, specifications, and site conditions necessary to develop complete and accurate estimates Identify missing or unclear information and proactively obtain clarification Prepare estimates, proposals, bid packages, and supporting documentation Obtain and maintain current vendor and subcontractor pricing, material information, and lead times Assist with material planning, supply coordination, inventory tracking, and evaluating upcoming project needs Manage multiple active estimates, deadlines, customer requests, and follow-up activities Maintain accurate and organized estimating records, project information, vendor data, inventory records, and historical cost information Collaborate with Project Management and field operations to support the successful handoff of awarded projects Contribute ideas that improve estimating, purchasing, inventory, technology, and operational workflows Qualifications 3+ years of construction estimating, bid coordination, or related experience Experience managing construction estimates from initial review through bid submission Proficiency with Bluebeam or comparable digital takeoff software Experience reviewing construction plans, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to identify missing information, scope gaps, and potential project risks Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organization Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and interruptions effectively #
