- Danvers, MA Our client, an established civil construction contractor specializing in sitework and underground utility construction, is seeking a Civil Estimator in Danvers, MA.
The Civil Estimator will prepare complete civil construction estimates and quantity takeoffs from bid documents, with a focus on earthwork, excavation, grading, and water, sewer, and drainage utilities. This role requires at least 2 years of estimating experience and hands-on experience performing detailed water, sewer, and drain takeoffs. Candidates with relevant civil construction project management experience may also be considered on a case-by-case basis; may also reside in Tamworth, NH for full consideration for this position.
Responsibilities:
Perform complete civil construction takeoffs from bid documents, systematically breaking down project components to establish total direct costs Extract and analyze bid document information affecting production rates, quantities, labor, equipment utilization, and pricing Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for earthwork, excavation, grading, water, sewer, drainage, and underground utility work Estimate crew production and heavy equipment requirements for civil/sitework construction projects Evaluate the capabilities and limitations of heavy equipment to accurately estimate equipment utilization and project costs Review construction plans, specifications, bid documents, and project requirements to develop estimates Obtain and incorporate vendor and subcontractor pricing into project estimates Support bid preparation and other estimating activities as required
Qualifications:
2+ years Estimating experience Experience performing detailed water, sewer & drain takeoffs Civil construction estimating experience involving earthwork, excavation, grading, sitework, site development, or underground utilities Experience with estimating software such as Trimble and Heavy Bid Project management experience will be considered on a case by case basis
Compensation:
Base salary in the 100k
