Sawyer Co., Inc. is seeking a Senior Estimator to provide accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical projects across various industries. Your expertise in estimating and pricing will help drive successful project bids, ensuring the company's continued growth and success in the market. Who are we? Our company started in 1864, pre-dating the advent of widely available electrical applications including Edison's invention of the light bulb. Our founder Edward G. Sawyer started a small family-owned gas-lighting installation and service business in Court Square in downtown Boston. He and his company transferred knowledge and skills learned in that trade becoming one of the first businesses to retrofit gas lighting fixtures to electric power. Over one hundred and sixty years later, Edward G. Sawyer Co., Inc. is the longest continuously operating electrical contractor in the world. Our company is one of the largest Local 103 union contractors in the Greater Boston Area focusing on commercial electrical construction, electrical service, and telecommunication construction. We manage and construct over 200 projects annually employing between 250 and 300 electricians and telecommunications technicians. Even with our significant growth in size and capacity for modern projects, our company is committed to our roots and maintains a family-owned company culture. Who Are You? You are a highly skilled, experienced electrical estimator who has mastered the ability to balance workload, personnel management, leadership, and your own personal life. You will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects. You can determine the strengths and weaknesses of office personnel and work within those confines to maximize the talent and potential for each. You are looking to work with people and for a company that appreciates a family-owned business model, commitment to its employees, and in turn is committed to a long-term working relationship.
