Full-time, in-office About Us Boston Harbor Water Restoration helps homeowners and property managers recover fast from water and flood damage across Greater Boston. We specialize in emergency mitigation, dry‑outs, and reconstruction, working closely with insurance carriers to bring properties back to pre‑loss condition quickly and profitably. Role Overview This is a desk-based estimator role. You will not run field inspections. Our project managers and technicians handle site visits, documentation, and moisture readings. You take that data and turn it into clear, accurate Xactimate estimates that carriers approve fast. You will also manage supplements, revisions, and carrier communications so jobs move from "completed" to "paid" quickly. Your speed, accuracy, and responsiveness directly control how quickly revenue is generated and how much margin we keep. Key Responsibilities Review incoming job files: photos, sketches, notes, measurements, and moisture logs from the field. Build detailed, line‑item Xactimate estimates for mitigation (water, fire, mold, etc.). Align scopes with carrier guidelines, local codes, and IICRC standards using the documentation provided. Respond promptly to reviewer questions. Own revisions based on updated info or adjuster feedback. Maintain clean, audit‑ready digital job files. Performance Metrics You will be measured and paid against hard numbers, not vague "effort": Average time from file assignment to submitted estimate. Average time from carrier feedback to revised submission. Job gross margin on your files. Total approved revenue written per month. We rank team members by their key metrics so top performers are obvious and can be rewarded accordingly Qualifications 2+ years of property restoration, construction, or insurance estimating experience. Strong Xactimate skills; certification preferred. Familiarity with insurance restoration workflows IICRC knowledge (WRT, ASD, etc.) is a plus. Strong written communication; comfortable emailing / calling adjusters and TPAs. Very high attention to detail and comfort working in multiple software systems all day. Able to manage many open files at once and hit turnaround times consistently. Compensation & Schedule Base salary $80
