For highly qualified candidates with deep commercial estimating expertise, additional flexibility may be available. About the Role We are a well-established commercial plumbing contractor seeking an experienced Commercial Plumbing Estimator to lead estimating and bid preparation for large-scale commercial projects across Massachusetts. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, blueprint interpretation, and digital takeoffs. This position focuses specifically on commercial plumbing systems—the ideal candidate will confidently interpret complex drawings, identify all required plumbing components, and produce accurate, competitive bids for projects such as hospitals, schools, healthcare facilities, mixed-use developments, and major commercial renovations. Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate plumbing estimates and bid proposals for commercial construction projects Perform digital takeoffs using Trimble or similar estimating software Read and interpret plumbing blueprints, specifications, and construction documents Estimate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs Analyze commercial plumbing systems, including: Drain, Waste, Vent (DWV) Potable Water Systems Natural Gas Piping Coordinate with vendors and manufacturer representatives to obtain pricing Review project specifications to ensure code compliance with Massachusetts plumbing standards Support preconstruction planning and project handoff processes Collaborate with project managers, field teams, and leadership during bid development Qualifications Required 3+ years of experience in Commercial Plumbing Estimating Experience estimating commercial construction projects Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and piping materials, including: Copper PEX Cast Iron PVC Experience with commercial connection methods such as: ProPress Victaulic Soldering Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications Experience using estimating or takeoff software (Trimble preferred) Understanding of Massachusetts plumbing codes and commercial construction standards Preferred Prior field experience in commercial plumbing Experience estimating projects in healthcare, education, retail, or large commercial environments Exposure to medical gas systems or other specialty piping Certifications such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or related credentials Why Join Us?
