Job Description The Estimator - Diverse Commercial Projects - Beltsville, MD will be responsible for: Preparing accurate conceptual, schematic, and hard-bid estimates for commercial and multifamily construction projects. Reviewing drawings, specifications, and BIM models to complete detailed quantity takeoffs. Soliciting, analyzing, and comparing subcontractor and supplier proposals to ensure complete scope coverage. Developing project budgets, cost breakdowns, and value engineering recommendations. Evaluating project risks, constructability challenges, and market factors impacting pricing. Supporting the preparation of proposals, bid packages, pricing exhibits, and scope clarifications. Partnering with project management and operations teams to ensure a seamless transition from preconstruction to execution. Maintaining historical cost data and updating estimating systems to improve future bid accuracy. Contributing to strategic planning by identifying cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
