Job Description The Estimator•Federal Projects•Bowie, MD will be responsible for: Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals for large-scale federal construction projects. Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements to develop accurate pricing strategies. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing while leveraging established industry relationships. Collaborate closely with project teams to identify value engineering opportunities and winning bid strategies. Assist in managing the estimating process from initial pursuit through final submission. Support and mentor a junior estimator, helping to develop skills and improve team efficiency. Work directly with senior leadership to contribute to business growth and project acquisition efforts. Utilize Bluebeam, Adobe, and Microsoft Office to perform quantity takeoffs, document analysis, and proposal preparation. The Successful Applicant The Estimator•Federal Projects•Bowie, MD should have: 5+ years of estimating experience with a General Contractor. Strong background pricing federal construction projects. Established network of subcontractors and vendors within the DC, Maryland, and Virginia market. Experience preparing competitive bids for government and secure facility projects. Proficiency with Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior team members. Ability to work primarily onsite in Bowie, MD with flexibility for one remote day per week after the onboarding period. What's on Offer The Estimator•Federal Projects•Bowie, MD may receive:
Base Salary:
$130,000•$135,000
Annual Bonus:
Up to 20%
Competitive Benefits Package PTO Program Hybrid Flexibility:
1 remote day per week after 90 days
