Job Description The Estimator will be responsible for: Preparing detailed quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and bid proposals for commercial and federal construction projects. Analyzing drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine scope, pricing, and risk factors. Soliciting and evaluating subcontractor and supplier pricing to ensure competitive and accurate bids. Collaborating with project managers, operations teams, and leadership throughout the preconstruction process. Participating in bid reviews, value engineering exercises, and project strategy discussions. Maintaining current knowledge of market conditions, labor costs, material pricing, and industry trends. Supporting multiple pursuits simultaneously while ensuring deadlines and submission requirements are met. Assisting with cost planning, budgeting, and estimating best practices to improve bid success rates. The Successful Applicant A successful Estimator should have: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred. Estimating experience within commercial construction required; federal construction experience strongly preferred. Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents. Experience developing comprehensive conceptual and hard-bid estimates. Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Must be eligible to pass federal background checks and obtain access to secure facilities. Previous experience supporting Pentagon, Department of Defense, or other federal agency projects is highly desirable.
