Job Description

We are seeking an experienced construction estimator to join our estimating and sales support team. KBS Builders is a fast-growing company in the exciting modular construction industry. Our estimators undertake a wide range of estimating and sales activities in support of our modular manufacturing operations.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with the sales team to develop estimates for residential and commercial projects. Maintain pricing programs and cost standards. Develop creative solutions that balance cost, ease of construction, and value to customers. Analyze construction documents and develop plans to ensure projects are delivered on-time, on-budget, and meet customer expectations. Establish job cost standards for projects. Routinely review cost standards for kits and assemblies. Assist finance and purchasing to maintain inventory costs in our ERP. Assist sales department in completing quote requests for builders. Work with purchasing and operations teams to create material schedules for projects. Other tasks as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in MS Office or related software Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Preferred background in Construction. Proficient with Microsoft excel. Ability to read prints and specs. Create concise scopes of work. Knowledge of construction practices in all trades. Familiarity with planswift or equal on screen take off program. ERP experience.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times. Prolonged sitting at a desk and working at a computer.
