Estimator Grazzini Brothers & Company - Eagan, MN Full-time About Us Grazzini Brothers & Company is a nationwide specialty contractor with over 100 years of experience in commercial tile, terrazzo, stone, and floorcovering installation. Job Summary We are seeking an Estimator to contribute to our Estimating Department. This role is responsible for performing detailed on-screen/digital quantity takeoffs, preparing cost estimates, improving department processes, and supporting accurate and competitive project bidding.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Once familiar with the role, provide training, guidance, and performance support Help develop and maintain departmental policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency Work with leadership to update estimating software, tools, and templates Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from architectural drawings Obtain and evaluate vendor and subcontractor bids Analyze project plans, specifications, and site requirements to prepare accurate estimates Resolve quantity discrepancies through research and analysis Prepare reports, project documents, material release schedules, and client information for Project Managers Assist with budgeting, resource planning, and project setup Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications University degree or college diploma preferred; Construction-related degree a bonus Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to analyze data and prepare accurate estimates and reports Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat Experience with WinEst and Measured Square is a plus Ability to develop vendor relationships and negotiate pricing Strong decision-making skills and ability to work under pressure Commitment to quality, collaboration, and team success Physical Requirements Regularly required to talk, listen, and use hands for computer work Occasional standing, walking, or reaching Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally Work environment has moderate noise levels Reasonable accommodations available Why Work With Us?
