This role supports plumbing, piping, and/or sheet metal scopes and offers exposure to plan/spec, design-assist, and design-build projects across a wide range of industries. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys detailed estimating work, collaboration with internal teams, and long-term career growth within a stable, well-resourced organization.

Estimator Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed mechanical cost estimates for medium to large plan/spec, design-assist, and design-build projects, including full quantity takeoffs using mechanical estimating software Review drawings, specifications, and scope documents to determine labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor requirements Develop proposals, evaluate design options, and recommend cost-effective solutions aligned with project goals Obtain and analyze vendor and subcontractor pricing; track costs and compare actuals to bid estimates throughout the project lifecycle Collaborate with engineering, project management, and field teams while supporting other mechanical disciplines, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to a safety-focused culture

Estimator Requirements:

2+ years of experience in mechanical estimating, engineering, or the trades Strong knowledge of plumbing, piping, or sheet metal systems Experience with mechanical estimating software, specifically AutoBid Mechanical and Sheet Metal, Bluebeam, Excel and Word Ability to interpret cost data and estimating systems Strong analytical and numerical skills Associate's degree in engineering or a related technical field preferred
