Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Estimator to join our Commercial Construction team. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of hands-on estimating experience in commercial building, multi-family and hospitality projects and a strong understanding of construction means, methods, materials, and costs. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive bids, analyzing project documents, and working closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients. Key Responsibilities Review and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and project scopes. Prepare detailed cost estimates including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor pricing. Conduct quantity takeoffs using estimating software and industry tools. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes. Participate in bid reviews, value engineering, and proposal creation. Develop project budgets and assist with preconstruction planning. Maintain organized cost data, historical pricing, and vendor/subcontractor relationships. Identify project risks, missing information, and potential cost impacts. Collaborate with project management and leadership teams to ensure accurate and competitive bids. Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations when required. Qualifications Minimum 1 years of estimating experience in commercial construction (preferred). Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and building codes. Proficiency with estimating software Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents. Excellent math, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Strong communication and negotiation skills. High attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Preferred Experience Experience with ground-up commercial projects, interiors/tenant improvements, or industrial construction. Knowledge of current market pricing and subcontractor networks. Familiarity with design-build or preconstruction processes.
