Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech savvy Commercial Estimator & Technical Sales Specialist to join our team here at Springfield Winwater! In this role, you will be responsible for assisting our Lead Estimator with processes for commercial and residential construction projects, ensuring accurate cost assessments, and support from initial bid to project completion. Your expertise will help drive projects by providing precise estimates and fostering effective communication with clients and vendors. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects while honing your skills in construction estimating and project management. Duties Reviews and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to accurately estimate material requirements and labor. Reviews emails for customer requests, sales opportunities, etc Provides pricing, product, product substitutions, delivery, back-order and warranty information as requested Helps customers over the phone with technical questions Maintains a professional attitude and appearance at all times Utilize STACK estimating software to prepare detailed cost proposals and bid packages Collaborate with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams through negotiation and clear communication to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms Develop comprehensive spreadsheets for estimating material quantities, costs, and project timelines using Microsoft Office tools Experience Not sure you check every box? Relevant experience in construction estimating within the commercial and/or residential construction industry, preferably waterworks. Proficiency in estimating software such as STACK, HeavyBid, Bluebeam, Xactimate, or similar platforms Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction documents accurately Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel for detailed spreadsheets Experience with cost management, material cost estimating, and pricing strategies for large-scale projects Construction site experience is highly desirable to understand on-the-ground realities impacting estimates but not a requirement Negotiation skills combined with effective client communication abilities Job offer will be contingent upon passing a background check and drug test.
