ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing construction plans and specifications to ensure all requirements of the contract are met. Itemize scopes of work and prepare bid packages.
  • Estimate costs of labor and material per project. Quote wide range sized exterior signage packages for possible customers. Read and analyze blueprints, plans and other documentation per Art Dept or customer. Report needed adjustments to Lead Estimator.
  • Complete specialized projects, as needed. Build relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers etc.)
  • Obtain and review offers and quotes by subcontractors or vendors Resolves cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing projects on time. Evaluates the cost effectiveness of a product's use and makes changes where necessary to improve overall cost effectiveness.
REQUIREMENTS
Associates degree in construction field or business One year estimating experience preferred Regular, predictable and reliable attendance Familiarity with financial and project management principles. Accuracy with attention to detail and organization Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stooping, twist, reach, reach overhead Must be able to lift and carry 0-20lbs. occasionally
PREFERRED
Bachelor's degree in related field 2 + years of experience working as an estimator or related field
