Job Description Upchurch seeks an Estimator to develop accurate, data-driven cost estimates for professional, scientific, and technical projects. In this client-focused role, you will analyze scopes, drawings, and historical data to build detailed budgets, models, and pricing scenarios that support proposals and project decisions. You will collaborate with consultants, engineers, and project managers, gather vendor quotes, assess risk and contingencies, and present clear cost breakdowns to clients. Responsibilities Develop detailed cost estimates and budgets for client projects using plans, scopes, and historical data. Analyze assumptions, risks, and contingencies to ensure accurate, defensible estimates. Collaborate with consultants, engineers, and project managers to refine scope and pricing. Support proposals and RFP responses with clear pricing breakdowns and narratives. Collect vendor and subcontractor quotes and benchmark data to validate pricing. Prepare cost reports, comparisons, and value options for client decision-making. Maintain estimating tools, cost databases, and documentation for consistency and quality. Communicate estimate assumptions and findings clearly to internal teams and clients.
