This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the design and fabrication of complex building-envelope systems while collaborating with engineering, fabrication, field, and project management teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong AutoCAD skills and a solid understanding of building construction, engineering and design principles, manufacturing processes, and construction methods. This individual will be responsible for producing accurate shop and fabrication drawings, incorporating field dimensions and conditions, meeting submittal deadlines, and supporting fabrication and field operations throughout project execution.

Responsibilities:

Develop detailed Curtain Wall, Storefront, and Metal Panel shop drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, details, notes, dimensions, and erection considerations. Interpret field measurements and conditions, incorporating revisions into shop drawings and developing accurate fabrication documentation. Produce fabrication drawings with accurate dimensions, cut lengths, component sizes, extrusions, parts, and special fabrication requirements. Coordinate drawing releases and revisions with engineering, fabrication, field operations, and project management teams while maintaining project deadlines. Provide updated erection-tagged drawings with each fabrication release and respond to fabrication and field needs throughout production. Review material requirements and drawing details to support efficient material utilization and practical fabrication and installation methods.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in engineering, architecture, building construction, or a related discipline. Approximately five years of professional design experience focused on Curtain Wall and Metal Panel systems within commercial construction. Strong AutoCAD experience with the ability to produce detailed shop and fabrication drawings; Revit experience is a plus. Demonstrated understanding of building construction, engineering and design principles, manufacturing processes, and construction methods. Strong ability to interpret field dimensions and conditions while maintaining accuracy, deadlines, drawing revisions, and fabrication requirements. Detail-oriented, dependable team player with strong Microsoft Office skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, fabrication, field, and project management functions. #accentuate2
