Job Description Our client is a well-established commercial fencing contractor seeking a Commercial Fence Estimator to join their team in Durham, NC. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of estimating experience with a background in commercial project bidding. Experience pricing jobs, building material lists, and working in Bluebeam is highly valued for this role. Job Responsibilities Prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial fencing projects, including labor and material pricing.
- Develop detailed material lists and takeoffs to support project bids.
- Identify and pursue new bidding opportunities through online job boards and plan rooms.
- Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to determine scope of work.
- Utilize Bluebeam to perform takeoffs and markup project documents.
- Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals within required deadlines.
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain current material pricing.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure estimates align with project execution capabilities. Job Requirements 3-4 years of estimating experience.
- Experience with commercial project bidding.
- Ability to price jobs and build accurate material lists.
- Experience sourcing and identifying bid opportunities through job posting sites and plan rooms.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Fence or perimeter security industry experience is preferred.
