Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills and a solid background in construction estimating. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for analyzing project requirements, preparing accurate cost estimates, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure successful project execution. Your expertise will play a crucial role in the bidding process and overall cost control for our construction projects. Responsibilities Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates for construction projects. Utilize estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to create detailed cost breakdowns. Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for accurate pricing. Negotiate contracts and pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive bids. Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to maintain budgetary controls. Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather data for estimating purposes. Prepare and present detailed reports on estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs. Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects. Requirements Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is required. Strong understanding of project management principles and practices. Proficiency in using estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid is preferred. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate cost estimation. Ability to negotiate effectively with contractors and suppliers. Familiarity with construction site operations and safety protocols is advantageous. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
