Job Description Ascension Property Services (APS), based in Palo Alto, CA, seeks a Senior Electrical Estimator to lead complex estimates for technology-driven commercial projects. You will analyze drawings and specs, develop detailed cost models, and collaborate with engineering and project teams to deliver accurate, competitive bids. This role blends electrical construction knowledge with data-driven estimating tools in a fast-paced, innovative culture that values continuous learning, creativity, and cross-functional teamwork on impactful, cutting-edge initiatives. Responsibilities Prepare detailed electrical estimates for commercial and technology-enabled construction projects Review blueprints, specifications, and project documents to determine material and labor requirements Work closely with project managers, engineers, and vendors to validate scope, pricing, and timelines Develop and maintain cost databases, unit pricing, and historical cost records Participate in bid strategy, value engineering, and risk analysis to improve competitiveness and margins Present estimate assumptions and findings to leadership and project stakeholders Support contract negotiations by clarifying scope, inclusions, and exclusions Mentor junior estimators and contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes Required Skills Electrical estimating Construction cost analysis Blueprint and specification reading Quantity takeoff software Cost database management Bid preparation and strategy Value engineering Risk assessment Vendor and subcontractor negotiation MS Excel and estimating tools
