Job Description
Civil Estimator This position is a revenue-driving Civil Estimator role focused on both winning new work and delivering accurate, competitive pricing for civil construction and telecommunications infrastructure projects. The role owns the full lifecycle from lead generation and client engagement through estimating, proposal development, and contract award, with a strong emphasis on building relationships and expanding market presence. Unlike a traditional estimator, this individual is expected to operate as a hunter, proactively developing new business opportunities while leveraging estimating expertise to secure profitable work. Key Responsibilities
Lead estimating efforts for civil construction and telecom drilling projects ($50K•2M+)
Develop detailed cost estimates including labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors
Build and execute pricing strategies to win competitive bids
Actively pursue new business with telecom carriers, tower companies, and general contractors
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities and client relationships
Participate in site walks, pre-bid meetings, and client negotiations
Serve as the primary point of contact through the preconstruction phase
Partner with operations to ensure smooth transition from bid to execution
