Chief Electrical Estimator Leapros Skilled Trades - 3.7 Monroe, NC Job Details Permanent $130,000 - $180,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description [Leapros] Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Chief Electrical Estimator in Monroe, NC. The Chief Electrical Estimator is a leadership position responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of estimating activities for electrical projects across commercial and residential sectors. The ideal candidate brings extensive expertise in detailed cost analysis, team mentoring, and strategic pricing to ensure the delivery of accurate, competitive bids that align with project scope and business objectives.

Annually BOE Responsibilities:
Lead all estimating activities for electrical projects, ensuring the preparation of accurate and competitive bids. Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to develop detailed cost breakdowns and take-offs. Analyze labor, materials, and subcontractor requirements to evaluate scope, constructability, and financial risks. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field leadership to clarify project requirements and support preconstruction planning. Manage the estimating pipeline and develop standard operating procedures to enhance departmental efficiency. Evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes and maintain comprehensive internal cost databases. Mentor and guide junior estimators through bid reviews and professional development initiatives. Collaborate with executive leadership on pricing strategies and the identification of new business development opportunities. Ensure all estimates comply with electrical codes, installation methods, and company safety standards.
Qualifications:
Significant experience in electrical estimating for both commercial and residential construction projects. Proven ability to read blueprints and interpret complex technical specifications for detailed budgeting. Proficiency with industry-standard estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook. Solid understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC), installation methods, and general construction practices. Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills for evaluating quotes and developing accurate budgets. Demonstrated leadership ability, with prior experience in a senior or lead estimator role preferred. Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple estimates in a fast-paced environment. High school diploma required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering is beneficial.
Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to sit, stand, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and keyboard for prolonged periods. Specific vision abilities required include close vision for reviewing detailed technical documents and computer work. Regularly required to talk and hear to effectively communicate with internal teams, vendors, and clients. Occasional light to moderate lifting may be required.
Pay Transparency:
The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $130,000 to $180,000 annually, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
