Construction Estimator Location:
Washington, NC Job Type:
Full-Time | On-Site Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to support preconstruction and bidding activities. The Estimator will review plans and specifications, perform quantity take-offs, develop accurate cost estimates, and coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and project teams to prepare competitive proposals. Key Responsibilities Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents. Perform detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates. Estimate materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs. Solicit, review, and compare subcontractor and vendor bids. Identify project risks, scope gaps, and value-engineering opportunities. Prepare competitive bids and proposals. Maintain estimating databases, cost histories, and pricing information. Collaborate with Project Managers and field teams during preconstruction. Support project budgeting and scope clarification. Manage multiple estimates and meet bid deadlines. Qualifications Construction estimating or related preconstruction experience. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills. Proficiency with Excel, Microsoft Office, and estimating software . Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines. Associate or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
