Job Description

Position Summary The Flooring Estimator is responsible for delivering accurate and timely material takeoffs, shop drawings, and bid support to the sales team across a wide range of commercial flooring projects. This role supports both large-scale ground-up construction and small- to mid-sized tenant fit-outs across multiple industries, including healthcare, education, retail, multi-family, office, manufacturing, and transportation. Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate and detailed quantity takeoffs using Measure Square estimating software Develop and review shop drawings, layouts, and necessary revisions/retouches to support project bids Analyze project plans, specifications, and bid documents to ensure complete scope coverage Manage incoming Invitations to Bid (ITBs) and follow established SOPs from receipt through bid submission Deliver estimates and supporting documentation within required timelines aligned with bid deadlines Collaborate closely with the sales team and project managers to clarify scope, and project requirements Review third-party takeoffs for accuracy and completeness Maintain a strong working knowledge of flooring materials, systems, and installation methods Participate in weekly estimating meetings and contribute to continuous process improvement Demonstrate and actively strive to exemplify Brock's core values in all interactions and work products Provide additional support and perform other duties as assigned Qualifications & Skills Experience in commercial flooring estimating or a related construction estimating role preferred Proficiency with Measure Square or similar estimating software Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents Broad knowledge of flooring @types and installation processes (e.g., carpet, LVT, tile, wood, etc.) Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines Effective communication and collaboration skills Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally Work Environment Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment supporting multiple concurrent projects Regular interaction with sales, project management, and external partners
