Job Description

Position Summary Door Systems is looking for a motivated, organized, and customer-focused Inside Sales & Estimator to join our team. This position is responsible for handling customer inquiries, identifying customer needs, preparing accurate estimates, recommending the appropriate garage door products and services, and following up with customers to help turn estimates into completed sales. The Inside Sales & Estimator will work closely with our outside sales, technicians, installers, dispatcher, and management team. Scheduling and dispatching are handled separately by our dispatcher, allowing this position to focus on customer service, estimating, and sales. Garage door experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right person who is dependable, personable, motivated, and willing to learn. Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Sales
  • Answer incoming customer calls and inquiries professionally.
  • Listen to customers and determine their garage door, opener, repair, or replacement needs.
  • Explain available products, services, and options.
  • Recommend appropriate solutions based on the customer's needs and budget.
  • Provide professional and knowledgeable customer service.
  • Build relationships with customers and create a positive experience.
  • Confidently present pricing and ask for the sale when appropriate.
  • Follow up with customers who have received estimates.
  • Maintain communication with customers throughout the sales process.
  • Handle customer questions and concerns professionally. Estimating & Quoting
  • Prepare accurate estimates for garage door replacements, openers, repairs, and related products and services.
  • Review measurements, photos, technician notes, and job information when preparing estimates.
  • Determine appropriate products, materials, labor, and pricing.
  • Ensure estimates accurately reflect the work and products being quoted.
  • Clearly explain estimates and options to customers.
  • Work with technicians and management when additional information is needed.
  • Follow up on outstanding estimates and sales opportunities. Product Knowledge
  • Develop a strong understanding of garage doors, garage door openers, springs, hardware, accessories, and related products.
  • Learn the company's products, pricing, warranties, and installation options.
  • Stay current on available products and product features.
  • Help customers select products that best fit their needs and budget. Sales Follow-Up
  • Follow up on open and unsold estimates.
  • Contact previous customers regarding additional products or services when appropriate.
  • Identify opportunities for replacement, upgrades, maintenance, and additional services.
  • Maintain accurate customer and sales information.
  • Work toward company sales goals. Team Responsibilities
  • Communicate clearly with technicians, installers, dispatch, and management.
  • Provide technicians and installers with accurate customer and job information.
  • Review technician findings and photos when preparing estimates.
  • Communicate changes or additional information to the appropriate team member.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure customers receive accurate information and excellent service.
  • The dispatcher is responsible for scheduling and routing; this position does not have primary scheduling or dispatch responsibilities. Qualifications
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Comfortable speaking with customers by phone and in person.
  • Strong sales and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Comfortable using computers, email, and business software.
  • Basic math skills and ability to work with measurements and pricing.
  • Ability to learn garage door products and terminology.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Dependable, professional, and punctual.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Previous sales, estimating, construction, home-services, or garage door experience is a plus. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is:

What Success Looks Like Success in this position means providing customers with accurate information, creating a great customer experience, producing accurate and profitable estimates, and consistently following up with customers to turn opportunities into sales. Integrity is a key part of this position. We want our customers to feel confident that we are recommending the right solution—not simply trying to sell them something they don't need. Work Environment This is primarily an inside/office position with frequent customer communication by phone, email, and other communication methods. Occasional job-site visits may be required for measurements, customer consultations, or to better understand a project. Scheduling and dispatching are handled by the company's dispatcher.
Pay:
$54,195.90
