In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, managing project timelines, and ensuring seamless communication between clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. Your expertise will drive project success from initial bid to final completion, fostering strong client relationships and delivering exceptional results. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence large-scale projects while working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Review construction blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to accurately estimate material requirements and labor costs. Develop comprehensive project budgets by analyzing scope, schedules, and resource needs using estimating software. Prepare detailed cost proposals and bids that reflect current market prices for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services. Utilize construction management software to track project progress, manage costs, and update estimates as project scopes evolve. Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards. Oversee the review of construction drawings to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks early in the planning process. Manage project timelines by coordinating with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery within budget constraints. Monitor project costs continuously through spreadsheets and cost management tools to maintain profitability and control expenses. Communicate effectively with clients regarding project scope changes, pricing adjustments, and project status updates. Interpret technical drawings accurately to ensure all estimation details align with project specifications and contractual obligations. Conduct/Attend site visits as necessary to gather information for estimating purposes. Coordinate project handoff meeting with field teams following successful bid awards. Skills Demonstrated ability managing projects as a construction estimator within commercial construction environments. Skilled in using construction management software to oversee project workflows from inception to completion. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Excel spreadsheets for detailed cost analysis and reporting. Expertise in blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and reviewing construction documents thoroughly. Proven ability estimating material requirements from blueprints accurately while controlling costs effectively. Solid understanding of construction industry standards, contracts, and legal considerations related to project management. Hands-on construction site experience that enhances your ability to manage field operations alongside estimations. Experience in estimating for commercial projects with a focus on cost control and budget adherence.
