$75,000 - $120,000 per year Job Details - We are seeking an experienced Estimator-Structural Steel to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our operations, providing accurate cost estimates for our structural steel products and projects. This position requires a deep understanding of the manufacturing industry, particularly in relation to structural steel, and an ability to use estimating software such as Fabsuite, Fabtrol, and Tekla EPM. This is a permanent position, providing the opportunity to make a significant impact on our company's success and growth.Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates for structural steel projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and other related costs. Use estimating software such as Fabsuite, Fabtrol, and Tekla EPM to create accurate and comprehensive cost estimates. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to gather all necessary information for estimates. Review and evaluate project specifications and drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness of estimates. Monitor and track actual project costs, comparing them with estimates and identifying variances. Stay updated on industry trends, market prices, and the competitive landscape to ensure our estimates are competitive and realistic. Participate in project meetings, providing expert input on cost-related matters. Ensure compliance with the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) standards in all estimates.Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in structural steel estimation in the manufacturing industry. Proficiency in estimating software such as Fabsuite, Fabtrol, and Tekla EPM. Extensive knowledge of the structural steel manufacturing process, including materials, labor, equipment, and other cost factors. Familiarity with AISC standards and their application in cost estimation. Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members at all levels. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred. Ability to interpret complex project specifications and drawings. Demonstrated ability to track and compare actual project costs with estimates. Proactive and resourceful, with a problem-solving mindset and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.A bit about us:
