Summary We are seeking a skilled Building Construction Estimator to join our team in Portsmouth, NH. The role of this position is to accurately estimate building construction projects to maximize profitability in addition to meeting the needs of the project's budget. The Building Construction Estimator will work jointly with the Director of Sales throughout the sales process. Responsibilities Collaborative sales activities as assigned with the Director of Sales. Create and maintain accurate project files utilizing Chasco's file management protocols. Obtain and scrutinize subcontractor quotes to ensure accuracy. Create building construction estimates and quotes employing Chasco's templates and writing protocols. Utilize CAD when necessary to create drawings. Meet or exceed Chasco's average turnaround time of one week. Qualifications Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or similar role in the construction industry. Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and pricing. Excellent negotiation skills with a keen eye for detail. Ability to analyze complex blueprints and specifications effectively. Experience with cost control methodologies is preferred. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Familiarity with project management principles is a plus. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook). Must have CAD program experience. Benefits 12 days paid vacation, 3 sick days and 9 holidays per year.
