Gather project information through customer conversations, site walks, existing documentation, and construction drawings when available. Translate project needs into detailed scopes of work, material lists, labor estimates, and customer-ready proposals using Excel. Collaborate with internal sales teams to define responsibilities, validate assumptions, and ensure all project requirements are captured. Prepare comprehensive estimates and proposals that support new business opportunities and set projects up for successful execution. Skills and Requirements 2-5+ years of experience in either project estimating or hands-on engineering/design for low-voltage projects including telecom, structured cabling, security, access control, CCTV, AV, or related technology infrastructure projects. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, floor plans, engineering documents, and project specifications. Experience developing project scopes, material takeoffs, labor estimates, or technical solutions for customer projects. Strong Excel skills and experience organizing project costs, materials, and labor requirements. Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with customers, vendors, sales teams, and project stakeholders. Previous experience participating in customer site walks and assessing project requirements in the field. Experience supporting municipal, commercial, education, or public-sector renovation and construction projects.
