Our team is growing, and we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Fence Estimator to join us in Garwood, NJ. Position Overview The Commercial Fence Estimator will play a key role in evaluating project requirements, preparing accurate cost estimates, and supporting our sales and project management teams. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of fencing materials, construction practices, and project estimating, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams. Key Responsibilities Review project specifications, drawings, and site conditions to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates. Collaborate with clients, general contractors, and suppliers to clarify requirements and obtain pricing. Develop competitive proposals, bid packages, and presentations for commercial projects. Track bid opportunities, follow up on proposals, and assist in negotiating contracts. Work closely with project managers to ensure a smooth transition from estimating to project execution. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry pricing, materials, and installation techniques. Qualifications Proven experience as an estimator in fencing, construction, or a related trade (commercial fencing preferred). Strong knowledge of fencing systems, materials, and installation practices. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and site plans. Proficiency with estimating software, MS Office Suite, and basic project management tools. Excellent organizational, mathematical, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and negotiation abilities. Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
