Job Description

Senior Electrical Estimator We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to join our team. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in estimating high-rise, multi-unit residential, and commercial electrical projects . The Senior Electrical Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive bids, reviewing project documents, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and working closely with our project management team to support projects from the bidding stage through award. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for electrical projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and other project-related costs. Review and interpret drawings, specifications, bid documents, and project requirements to determine the complete scope of work. Utilize Accubid and live count/takeoff software to prepare comprehensive and competitive estimates. Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and ensure all components of the electrical scope are properly captured. Solicit, review, and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing and complete scope coverage. Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and provide value-engineering recommendations. Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, scope reviews, and client meetings as required. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, vendors, subcontractors, and clients to obtain necessary information and clarify project requirements. Review estimates for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications prior to bid submission. Maintain organized historical cost data, vendor pricing, labor information, and current market pricing trends. Assist with bid leveling, scope comparisons, and turnover of awarded projects to the project management team. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator , with demonstrated experience estimating high-rise, multi-unit residential, and commercial electrical projects . Strong proficiency in Accubid and live count/takeoff software is required. Thorough understanding of electrical systems, materials, installation methods, and industry standards. Strong knowledge of electrical drawings, specifications, and construction documents. Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate estimates. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple bids and priorities while working under tight deadlines. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with project teams. Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
