This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator to play a key role in securing new projects and supporting a growing preconstruction team. Job Duties & Responsibilities Prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial and industrial HVAC and sheet metal projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing. Perform detailed quantity takeoffs, review construction drawings and specifications, and analyze project scope requirements. Develop competitive bid proposals, submit RFIs, attend pre-bid meetings, and collaborate with internal teams throughout the estimating process. Utilize estimating software such as FastDuct (or similar) and analyze historical project data to improve estimate accuracy and identify cost-saving opportunities. Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of estimating experience with commercial HVAC, sheet metal, or mechanical construction projects. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, sheet metal ductwork, construction drawings, and project specifications. Experience preparing detailed estimates, managing multiple bids, and meeting project deadlines. Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Preferred Skills & Experience Experience using FastDuct or similar HVAC/sheet metal estimating software. Background working for a mechanical contractor in commercial or industrial construction.
