PAY CLARIFICATION

Compensation is $150-$350 per completed estimating assignment, not per day. The pay field displays "per day" because this posting form does not offer a per-assignment option. The exact fee and scope are agreed before work begins and include travel, the site visit, measurements, prep assessment, and a written labor/material estimate. Larger or unusually complex assignments are quoted separately and approved in advance. Precise Painting & Power Washing LLC is a veteran-owned business based in South Amboy, NJ. We are seeking an experienced painting estimator for individual assignments involving on-site visits and detailed written estimates.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate authorized site visits and review the requested painting scope. Measure and document walls, ceilings, trim, doors, and other relevant surfaces. Identify preparation, repairs, access requirements, heights, protection needs, and conditions affecting the work. Prepare a clear breakdown of quantities, paint and materials, estimated labor hours, equipment needs, and estimated costs. Document assumptions, exclusions, and questions requiring clarification. Submit the completed estimate to the owner for review. The owner approves final customer pricing, scope, and scheduling commitments.

Requirements:

Practical knowledge of painting methods, surface preparation, coatings, and labor estimating. Ability to complete accurate measurements and organized written estimates. Reliable transportation to New Jersey job sites, generally within about one hour of South Amboy. Farther travel must be discussed beforehand. Ability to communicate professionally and meet agreed deadlines. Work is offered on an assignment basis. Assignment volume is not guaranteed. Each assignment's scope, fee, travel requirements, and delivery deadline are agreed before authorization. Any additional charges require advance approval.
