Job Description

Job Overview:
An Entry-Level Construction Estimator supports the pre-construction team by preparing cost estimates, analyzing project plans, and assisting in bid preparation. This role is ideal for recent graduates in construction management, civil engineering, or related fields who are looking to build a foundation in cost analysis and project planning . Responsibilities Review project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to understand scope of work Perform quantity takeoffs for materials, labor, and equipment Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets Solicit and review subcontractor and supplier quotes Help prepare bid packages and proposals Maintain and update cost databases and historical data Work with project managers and senior estimators to refine estimates Identify potential cost risks and value engineering opportunities Support pre-construction meetings and documentation Skills Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field Internship or coursework related to construction or estimating (preferred) Basic understanding of construction methods and materials Strong mathematical and analytical skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with estimating software is a plus Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Skills:
Experience with tools like Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or Procore Good communication and teamwork abilities Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines Willingness to learn and take direction from senior staff Familiarity with construction estimating principles and practices.
Pay:
$60,000.00
