Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing detailed estimates, and supporting the bidding process to secure new projects. Your expertise will help ensure competitive pricing while maintaining profitability, contributing directly to the success of our construction initiatives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, collaborate with project teams, and utilize your construction estimating skills to drive company growth. Must live in New York for this job Duties Analyze project plans, specifications, and blueprints to develop precise cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare comprehensive bids and proposals Conduct site visits to gather on-the-ground information that influences cost calculations and project scope Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to negotiate pricing and terms that align with project budgets and objectives Prepare detailed cost control reports throughout the project lifecycle to monitor expenses and identify potential savings opportunities Review contracts and scope of work documents to ensure all aspects of the project are accurately estimated and accounted for Support project management teams by providing timely estimates that facilitate planning, scheduling, and resource allocation Requirements Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes and site operations Proficiency in Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating or project management software tools Solid knowledge of construction contracts, cost control strategies, and pricing techniques Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with subcontractors and suppliers Ability to interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately Construction site experience is highly preferred to provide practical insights during estimation processes Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy Join us as an Estimator and become a key contributor in delivering high-quality construction projects! NOTE - We are looking for an Estimator with experience and knowledge in DEMOLITION/Existing Conditions Division 02 work specifically, if you aren't familiar with the market, plans, and concept of estimating for Demolition work specifically, you will not meet the requirements expected out of this Estimating role. Also job walkthroughs are a must and non negotiable for this position. You must be able to attend all available walk-throughs that are available.
