Job Description
A growing company is looking for an experienced Takeoff Specialist to join its team in New York City. The primary responsibilities include but not limited to the following: Analyze blueprints and other documentation to determine cost, material and labor requirements and prepare itemized lists. Compute cost factors and prepare estimates used for management purpose such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work, preparing bids, selecting vendors or subcontractors, and determining cost effectiveness. Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard labor hours and related cost data or effect cost reductions. Consult with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. Work with drafting engineers, project managers, sales representatives and Purchasing staffs coordinating contributions from all into proposals. Confer with engineers, architects, building owners, contractors and/or subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates. Recommend ways to reduce costs in the areas of labor, and materials to save the project costs. Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications B.S. in Engineering, construction management, or equivalent field Proven work experience as cost estimator or similar role. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Bluebeam Knowledge of high-level mathematical skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Minimum of five years of cost estimating experience in the manufacturing/construction industry
Salary:
Gross annual salary: $75,000 ~ $80,000 per yearBenefits:
