We are currently seeking an experienced Civil Engineer Estimator to join our Fresh Meadows, NY location. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive construction estimates by reviewing plans, specifications, and project scope documents. Conduct thorough quantity takeoffs and pricing analysis for various construction elements. Collaborate with project managers and clients to negotiate contracts, scope changes, and pricing adjustments. Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budgets and identify potential cost control opportunities. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to gather competitive bids and optimize pricing strategies. Assist in contract review and management, ensuring all terms align with project goals and legal requirements. Requirements Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of heavy civil or general construction projects. Solid knowledge of construction management principles, contracts, cost control, and pricing strategies. Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with subcontractors and suppliers.
