Job Description Liro Group is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Estimator to join our Syosset, NY headquarters. As part of our Engineering & Architecture department, you will play a crucial role in shaping cost structures for our diverse range of engineering and construction projects. Your expertise will ensure that all estimates are accurate and competitive, supporting our mission to enhance urban infrastructure across various sectors. Responsibilities Prepare detailed project cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications and identifying key variables. Assess cost effectiveness and offer budget alternatives to enhance profitability without compromising quality. Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather all necessary information to prepare accurate estimates. Monitor market trends in the construction industry to ensure that estimates remain current and competitive. Maintain a comprehensive database of current and past projects to assist in accurate future project bidding and estimation strategies. Present estimates to senior management, including detailed reports of the project scope, basis of estimates, and potential risk factors. Required Skills Proficiency with estimating software such as Pro Est or Cost X. Strong analytical and mathematical skills. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and documents. Understanding of construction methods and technologies.
