Job Overview:

Vita Modern Homes is a premier design-build firm specializing in modern, custom luxury residences. We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to support our pre-construction and development teams by delivering accurate cost projections for high-end residential projects. This role is critical in ensuring financial accuracy, project feasibility, and seamless execution from concept through completion.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed cost estimates for custom residential construction projects, including labor, materials, and subcontractor services Analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and design concepts to develop accurate budgets Conduct quantity takeoffs and pricing using industry-standard estimating tools Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers Collaborate with architects, designers, and project managers to align budgets with design intent Track cost trends and recommend value engineering solutions without compromising quality Maintain and update cost databases for materials, labor, and project benchmarks Assist in preparing proposals and client-facing budget presentations Monitor project costs during pre-construction to ensure alignment with estimates

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred) 3+ years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in residential or luxury home building Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing structures Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, Buildertrend, or similar) Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills Strong communication and collaboration abilities Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
