This role requires strong technical knowledge of all mechanical installation components related to the steel industry (equipment setting) as well as any related misc. structural components along with the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, 3D Models, review and understand scopes of work, produce accurate and competitive estimates/pricing. Key Responsibilities Reports directly to the Vice President of Construction & Engineering Prepare complete, accurate cost estimates including labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents to develop scopes of work Perform quantity takeoffs for mechanical and structural systems (bldgs.) Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes as required Identify project risks, value engineering opportunities, schedule / timelines Prepare and present bid proposals to leadership Maintain and update historical cost databases and unit pricing Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field staff throughout preconstruction and, as needed, during project execution Track industry trends, material costs, and labor market conditions affecting estimates Attend pre-bid meetings and job walkthroughs as required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience) 10+ years of estimating experience in

Markets 10+ years of estimating Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings Strong understanding of the steel industry for equipment setting, structural steel / components, pre-engineered metal buildings Proficiency in estimating software Experience with Primavera P6 (or similar scheduling software) preferred Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
