Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Estimator to join our Architectural Millworking team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating costs for millwork projects and must have a strong understanding of millwork/woodworking estimating and management principles, as well as experience with bidding software. This is a critical role that requires a detail-oriented professional who can effectively communicate with clients and internal staff. The successful candidate will play a key role in the success of our projects.

Responsibilities:

• Develop accurate and detailed estimates of fabrication costs, including labor, materials, and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with construction managers to develop project schedules and budgets.
• Utilize estimating software to create and manage construction bids.
• Maintain accurate records of estimating costs, including historical data and trends.
• Analyze project costs and identify areas for cost savings and improvement.
• Provide detailed reports to management and clients, including project cost updates and recommendations for cost control.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of millwork estimating and management principles.
• Experience with construction site management and supervision.
• Proficiency with estimating software.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal team.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Proven experience with cost control and project management.
• Familiarity with construction contracts and terms.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
