Experienced Plumbing Estimator! 🛠️📊 Are you a seasoned Plumbing Estimator with a passion for precision and efficiency in commercial construction? Our client, a leading firm in the commercial mechanical construction sector, is seeking a skilled Plumbing Estimator to join their team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to apply your extensive experience in plumbing or heating estimation to impactful projects. 🔹

What You'll Do:

• Perform detailed job takeoffs and pricing for plumbing and mechanical projects.
• Obtain and negotiate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
• Collaborate closely with the VP of Estimating to develop and maintain estimating databases and spreadsheets.
• Ensure a smooth transition of projects from estimation to project management.
• Lead and finalize job estimates, including writing clear and professional scope letters.
• Communicate effectively with vendors, subcontractors, clients, and coworkers.

What We're Looking For:

• Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in plumbing or heating estimation, or completion of an approved apprenticeship program with at least 3 years as a Journeyman.
• Proven 4 years of prior estimating experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints with strong knowledge of plumbing and piping installations.
• Strong math and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with estimating software (Estimation and/or Quicken experience preferred).
• Excellent communication skills for conducting scope reviews and vendor negotiations.
• Valid Driver's License.
• High School Diploma or GED; Journeyman Plumber or HVAC license (or equivalent experience) required.
