Our crews support critical power, utility, and infrastructure projects throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond. About the Role Centerline is looking for an experienced construction professional who brings together two things: strong estimating ability and strong industry relationships. This role will focus primarily on estimating and developing new business opportunities for our heavy civil and underground work. We are looking for someone who understands the Pacific Northwest construction market, knows the companies and people working in it, and has developed meaningful professional relationships throughout their career. You might currently be a Senior Estimator, Estimating Manager, Project Manager, Business Development professional, or have a background that crosses several of those areas. Your exact title matters less to us than your experience, industry knowledge, and ability to help Centerline find, pursue, and win the right work. What You'll Do Develop and prepare estimates for heavy civil, underground utility, substation civil, renewable energy, and related infrastructure projects. Identify and pursue new project opportunities throughout the Pacific Northwest. Maintain and develop relationships with general contractors, utilities, owners, developers, engineers, vendors, and other industry partners. Stay connected to the regional construction market and upcoming project opportunities. Help introduce Centerline's capabilities to new customers and strengthen relationships with existing customers. Perform and review digital takeoffs for underground utilities, earthwork, structural concrete, and other heavy civil scopes. Develop detailed labor, equipment, material, production, subcontractor, and vendor costs. Prepare, review, and finalize competitive bids and proposals. Review plans, specifications, geotechnical reports, and bid documents for scope, risk, and opportunity. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing. Coordinate internally with leadership, Project Management, and operations when developing estimates and proposals. Participate in bid reviews and help determine which opportunities best align with Centerline's capabilities. Track bid results, customer feedback, market activity, and future opportunities. Help build a strong pipeline of heavy civil and underground work throughout the Pacific Northwest. What We're Looking For There is more than one background that could be successful in this position. We are especially interested in someone who brings: Significant experience in heavy civil, underground utilities, electrical infrastructure, renewable energy, or related construction. Strong estimating experience and knowledge of construction costs, labor, equipment, materials, production rates, and means and methods. Established knowledge of the Pacific Northwest construction market and an existing professional network within the industry. Experience developing relationships with contractors, utilities, owners, developers, engineers, or other organizations involved in infrastructure construction. The ability to recognize potential opportunities and turn relationships and market knowledge into real bidding opportunities. Experience developing and reviewing complex construction estimates and proposals. Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, geotechnical reports, and other construction documents. Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship building skills. Experience with HCSS HeavyBid, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, or similar estimating tools is preferred. The ability to work independently and take ownership of opportunities from initial conversation through bid submission.
