Project estimation provides bid and costing information for commercial casework, millwork, paneling, wainscot, custom furniture, costume countertops, standing , running trim and fixtures. Estimators are a critical part of the overall business. There is opportunity to work for an established, stable company that provides product and services to the area's top contractors. Basic responsibilities include providing take-offs of costs for labor and material from drawings and project specifications, quickly, accurately and before the bids due date. This includes researching, sourcing and negotiating the best pricing available from suppliers, vendors and other subcontractors. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to project documentation, scope meetings, project organization, document archive, samples, transmittals, correspondence and other communications as required. Some travel may be required. High attention to detail, experience in determining product application and process in the field coupled with proficient drafting and estimation technology all come to bear in this position. Experience with Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, plan reading, specification reading and exceptional ability with written communications minimally required. Candidates with specific experience or education drawing plans and generating submittals for casework/millwork fabrication highly desired.
