Job Description

Senior Estimator LaRusso Concrete Inc. is a Wilsonville based Concrete Subcontractor performing site and structural work throughout all of Oregon and Washington. Our company culture as an ESOP is family oriented, with passionate, team-oriented, and dedicated employees. We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team. Salary commensurate with experience. A successful Senior Estimator at LaRusso concrete is proactive, willing to help train others, detail oriented, and organized. A senior estimator is responsible for managing which projects are to be bid, providing budgetary pricing to customers, reviewing multiple bids per day, and will understand how to bid projects with bid schedules and complex phasing.
  • Screen and prioritize invitations to bid
  • Cultivate relationships with vendors, subcontractors and general contractors
  • Stabilize backlog and manage risk
  • Comprehensive understanding of blueprints/plans
  • Review project specifications and detailing the risks in specific items
  • Develop lists of questions to submit to owner or general contractor
  • Perform detailed quantity estimates (take off), and pricing
  • Prepare proposals and change orders
  • Review fellow team members proposals and change orders for accuracy
  • Ensure deadlines and cost targets are met
  • Communicate effectively with general contractors regarding scope, schedule, phasing, etc.
  • Communicate with vendors for product pricing and availability
  • Familiarity with mix designs, reinforcing, and general submittals for concrete projects Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Construction Estimating:
7 years + experience
    Takeoff Experience:
    5 years minimum
    • Prior construction experience is necessary
    • Expertise in structural and site work (preferred)
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
    • Proficient in On Screen Takeoff (preferred)
    • US work authorization
    • Experience with budgeting from conceptual or early design plans is a plus Benefits

    This position is not eligible to work remotely.
